Bacon Jalapeno Cheese-Ball

Football season and fall brings my family together every Saturday afternoon to watch Football. My husband loves the Mississippi State Bulldogs and this season has been so exciting. My daughter went to Ole Miss and they have also been amazing. Our house is filled with college football from morning to night on Saturday.

So I am always looking for new tailgate food for the family. They need to munch all day and it has to be something different. I cannot feed them wings and chili every week.

This cheese-ball is so delicious. It is not your momma’s cheese-ball. The jalapeno gives it a kick! Delicious

 Bacon Jalapeno Cheeseball

8 ounces cream cheese, at room temperature
4 ounces Cheddar cheese, shredded (about ½ cup)
6 slices bacon, cooked crisp and chopped, divided
2 jalapenos, seeded and finely chopped, divided
1 garlic clove, minced
2 tablespoons chopped fresh parsley
1 teaspoon lime juice
½ teaspoon Worcestershire sauce
¼ teaspoon ground cumin
Pinch cayenne pepper
¼ cup chopped pecans, toasted
1. Combine together the cream cheese, Cheddar cheese, half of the bacon, half of the jalapeƱos, the garlic, parsley, lime juice, Worcestershire sauce, ground cumin and cayenne pepper, making sure to fully combine all the ingredients.
2. On a large plate, stir together the remaining bacon, the remaining jalapeƱos and the toasted pecans until evenly combined. Shape the cream cheese mixture into a ball. Roll the ball in the pecan mixture until coated on all sides.
3. Wrap the ball in plastic wrap and refrigerate overnight before serving. Serve with your favorite crackers.
