Goals and Week Ending July 28, 2014

What an exciting week we had around here. Weddings, birthday parties and house guests. But now we can settle down to finish up the projects and get ready for school.

I have been sewing the bedroom curtains and will start the living room curtains this week. Sewing for a 14 foot window and making pinch pleat drapes means I need some quiet time to think and manage the 20 yards of fabric and an additional 20 yards of lining.
We are also working on the built-ins in the living room. Shelves will be installed and I need to paint the cabinets.

The garden tomatoes have come in like whoa…. I am canning some ketchup and tomato sauce this week.

Last but not least, my daughter’s new home has at least 10 years of dirt on the walls, baseboards and floors. Unexpected filthy means we are all cleaning the house as hard as we can. They are up until midnight every night painting, cleaning and working hard while the baby sleeps.
