This week for the family brunch, I
decided to bring some ants to the table… an indoor picnic with some little
critters. Red and white checked makes the table feel very summery… is that a
word?
Start with the tablecloth
Red geraniums…. Unfortunately, not enough
blooms but pretty for the table anyway.
Ants coming to visit….
Mixing checks and polka dots. I love bandanas for napkins
The iron flatware and napkin rings
are so pretty and black always helps to anchor any table.
We put the doughnut holes on the “Share”
plate, the boys need a reminder
The grandchildren liked it but the
baby just wanted to eat the ant!
Brunch Menu:
Popovers
Eggs
Hashbrowns
Doughnut
Holes
Assorted
Juices and Jams
I
am joining these ladies and looking at all their tables. Susan at Between
Naps on the Porch and the
Style Sisters.

ReplyDeleteVery nicely done, Cynthia!!! I love it that the baby just wanted to eat the ants! That's so cute!
ReplyDeleteI like how you used the bandana napkins with this tablescape. They really work, especially with the black of the ants in the other details. The polka-dot dishes work great here, too!
I hope you'll have a terrific weekend ahead! Take care!
I always love this theme! It's perfect for summer! Red is such a happy color, don't you think? And the bandanas? Too cute! Thanks for sharing.
