This
week, the garden will be fully planted. Potting shed stocked and cleaned. All
the pots will be checked for supplies as next week, I am planting all the pots.
My flower beds have a good growth of spring weeds, so they are on my list also.
Planting annuals and Mulching is coming very soon so the flower beds need to be
cleared out.
I
have an ottoman I have been dying to reupholster for months. This week is the
time to finish that project too. I need to practice on the ottoman before I
start those yard sale chairs, just to get the feel for the staple gun. My list
of summer projects is long and any small projects I can finish before the end
of school is a big help.
Spring
cleaning is in order. All the silver in the house is getting polished, I am
pressure washing the back of the house, as well as all the baseboards will be
scrubbed. Each week, I am tackling one bedroom and it is getting a thorough
cleaning; all bedding stripped and washed. Beds wiped down, floor thoroughly
vacuumed and mopped, window dressings cleaned, washed or whatever. Windows
washed. Any repairs listed and lastly, lamp shade dusted and lamps cleaned. I
can only get one done a week. The winter has taken it's toll on all of us and
we need to be refreshed.
This
week's menu is full of meals that can easily be doubled. Leftovers for lunches
or dinners for times when I am too exhausted from weeding or cleaning. .
