Goals and Menu: Week Ending September 1st

School is back in session and I love teaching, especially economics. The students are so responsive and it does make you feel young to spend time with them. I am always fascinated by the way they think… they know the name of the Kardashian baby but not the unemployment rate of their age group…. Which one is more important to them?

With the new grandbaby on the way and the kitchen finally finished, I am hitting the kitchen to make extra meals and bake a bunch of desserts to freeze for some dinners we have planned later this month. I also have jams and preserves to make, freezing veggies and drying some fruits.

I also want to make a special outfit for the new baby, this week. The last thing I need to do is make another pillow for the nursery.

What is on your agenda this week?

SW Chicken Salad with Grilled Corn

Baked Spinach Gruyere

Out with family

Asparagus Cheese Tart
Garden Salad with Balsamic Vinagrette

Dried Peach Stuffed Pork Loin
Mashed Potatoes
Sauteed Green Beans

Sunday Brunch

Breakfast Burritos
Tatertot Casserole
Blueberry Muffins
