For Father’s Day, I am making this delicious and very
easy dish. Okay, my daughter is baking it, but I am putting it together the
night before.
Start with a loaf of French Bread and cut into cubes,
approximately 1 ½ inches. Place in a greased 13 by 9 inch pan.
Take a package of cream cheese, 8 oz, and cut into 1 inch
cubes.
Heat a jar or approximately one cup of Blackberry Jam,
you could use either blueberry or strawberry jam either. And drizzle over the
top of the bread cubes and cream cheese.
In a bowl, mix 4 eggs, 2 cups of half and half, a teaspoon
of cinnamon, vanilla extract and ½ cup of brown sugar. Pour over the bread mixture.
Wrap tightly with foil. Refrigerate overnight.
Bake at 325 degrees covered for 20 minutes. Take the foil
off and bake another 15 minutes.
The brown sugar will add so much flavor to this dish, you
will love it. Simple, elegant and very easy. Dad will think you spent all
morning in the kitchen.
