It is finally
salad time. Salad for lunch or dinner!!!! This salad is a family favorite and I
hope you will love it also.
Start with a
package of Ramen Noodles, sauté without the seasoning package in ½ stick of
butter. Add 1 c. pecans and ¼ cup of bacon strips cut into small pieces. Keep sautéing
until the ramen noodles and pecans are slightly browned.
Set aside and
make the dressing. Mix together ½ c. vegetable oil, ½ c. sugar, ¼ c. red wine
vinegar and the kicker…. 1/8 c. of soy sauce.
Chill the
dressing for at least one hour.
Putting the salad
together;
Add one head of
washed and chopped Romaine lettuce, 4 green onions, chopped and two stalks of
broccoli, using only the tops. Combine into one large bowl. I used Iceberg lettuce, because that was all I had, but better with Romaine lettuce.
Sprinkle the
ramen noodle mixture together and cover with the dressing. I can make two
salads out of this dressing but some people like more.
It is the most
delicious salad with an unusual Asian flair.
