Early June is a funny time in the garden. I wait with anticipation for the first summer tomato,

the first Zucchini,

Beans,

or pepper. And the first summer tomato is going to be delicious...
Early June has no vegetables to gather, freeze, can, dry or panic with an abundance of too many cucumbers.

The garden can be tended easily. My freezer is empty and ready. The canning jars are washed.
Plans for bags of dried herbs,

jars of salsa, spaghetti sauce and pepper relish have been made but nothing is here, yet.

While early June brings anticipation, a month from now, I will have forgotten the long winter of anticipation for the summer tomato, fresh peas or fresh herbs.

But for now...the wait is almost over.
