I don't think you all realize how hard it is to plant a garden around here.
Look at all my helpers.

Eating the grass, or plants.

Checking to see what mom is doing.

Guarding the garden

Enough of my helpers and back to the garden. Look at the basil.

I need to deadhead the chives.

After my beehive compost post, Gardener's Supply has decided to help with a give-away on my little blog. In an effort to encourage gardening, whether you have a spot to plant a tomato plant or not, they are giving one of my readers their Revolution planter. This planter hangs and grows your tomatoes in an upside down planter. I would love to know how the planter works for you and will include your opinion and your tomato pictures if you win.

In addition, Gardener's Supply has a fantastic kitchen-garden plan. It allows you to easily plan a garden and demonstrates the step by step guide to successfully garden your first or 100th garden.
In addition, I am donating two of my spring tea towels:

All you have to do is leave a message from now until midnight on Monday night on this post. I will draw your name at random.
I really want to win that tomato hanger! I've been thinking about buying one of them. No garden here but I sure want some tomatoes. You are making me want a little garden. We just don't have much sun on our lot. Your work will be so worth it in just a short time.
ReplyDeleteFirst of all, I cannot believe that you actually have things growing in your garden -- something we're not used to in the Midwest -- at least this early.
ReplyDeleteOf course, you know I want to win that planter -- I think it's a totally cool concept and girl, you know since I love to talk, I'd give you my opinion!
And the tea towels -- well that would be just a total extra bonus. You, my friend, are very generous!
Sending Friday Hugs!!! (How did it get to be Friday already?????)

I adore your spring time tea towels. They are beautiful. This is my first year to try gardening but I am enjoying it so much. I am doing all container gardening since we do not have a garden tiller. I would love to win the tomato hanger. I seen this advertise the other night and thought how great that would be to use.
ReplyDeleteThanks for the giveaway and entry.
You have a lovely site, this is my first time stopping by, I live in Alaska and I'd have to say I'm envious of your greenery - we are just coming up on spring, the snow is almost gone and the ground is softening up. I've raked up the front yard but the back yard is still too wet - I can't wait to play in the dirt. It looks like you have quite a lot of help with your garden too LOL my four kitties love to lay in the garden in the backyard all summer long. I am passing along to you a blogger award given to me by my aunt, please stop by my page to view it.
ReplyDeleteI wanted to thank you for your sweet comment on my blog! Thank you!
ReplyDeleteWhen I saw the blog name An Accomplished Woman I thought of Pride & Prejudice, Mr. Darcy and Elizabeth have a conversation about what makes an accomplished woman. I just had to come and see your blog!
It looks delightful, I am sure I will come and visit again.
I would love to win your darling tea towels too.
Wish I had growing things at my house. We still have cold that prevents planting here.
I would so love to win that tomato planter - it would just tickle my grandfather if I needed to call him often for gardening advise. He is a wonderful gardener and longs to feel more "needed" these days! The tea towels are beautiful too!
ReplyDeleteMy dad had one of those upside-down planters once. It worked!
ReplyDeleteI LOVE the towels. So pretty!
I would love to win the tomato hanger. I am just NOW gardening...first time in my life...at 40! I hope to have as productive a garden as you do. But I'm excited. The tea towels are precious, as well!!!
